A vertical battery mould enables to produce solid panels with simple reinforcement and high finishings on both sides. This system, differently form a horizontal production line, ensures high performance on small working areas.

Each formwork is made of several sets of vertical elements (side walls) built with 10 mm high quality plates placed opposite to the casting and reinforced by steel sections in order to achieve a rugged structure able to counteract concrete pressure during the casting step. The battery mould may have one or two sectors unconnected to each other, each including casting compartments on the left and right sides of a fixed central module. Side walls are translated by means of a reliable hydraulic system also enabling a lock while casting.

Each battery mould may be provided with side walls translatable for varying the element width and lifting bottoms for varying the panel height. Thanks to this system, it is possible to vary the height, length and thickness of each element thus allowing each compartment to be casted and opened.

Any coupling between formwork movable parts (such as at bottom/side walls) where there are opening and closing actions is provided with GF metal or rubber gaskets against the cement grout.

An efficient vibrator, whether pneumatic or electrical at variable frequency, combined with a specifically designed structure, ensures a rapid filling of the formwork and an optimum concrete compaction. Each battery mould can be also provided with a heating and insulation system to accelerate the concrete element’s curing process.
